Easter Baskets St. Columba receives prepared Easter Baskets from churches each year. Usually we are able to provide baskets to approximately 100 children in our community. These go out with food requests and go to families that we have assisted recently with other special programs. School Supplies Thank you to everyone who has donated items, money and energy to this year's program! We set up at Lafayette Presbyterian the morning of Thursday, August 25 and were ready to go Tuesday morning, after some issues with Hurricane Irene had been resolved. Distribution continued through Wednesday and allowed us to provide school supplies to 367 students! That's 14 more than last year! Thank you to the folks at Lafayette Presbyterian Church for all their help and providing us with a distribution site. None of this would have been possible without the support of everyone who contributed and made this year a huge success!

These are pictures from the 2010-2011 distribution. New pictures will be uploaded soon. Stay tuned!

Thanksgiving Baskets Numerous churches, businesses and individuals come together to support us through financial and in-kind donations. We provide each of our adopted families with a turkey, eggs, butter, fruit, cranberry sauce, stuffing, rolls, and a variety of other food to make Thanksgiving nice for those in need in our community. Volunteers and staff work together the week of Thanksgiving to sort, pack and distribute approximately 160 baskets.
Christmas Baskets For Christmas, we provide food similar to Thanksgiving, but also coordinate a gift program. The gifts depend on the support of churches in our community who host angel trees for the children in these families. Last year we provided 58 families with food and gifts to make the holidays a little warmer.
